FPV Booster for Vision+ App Reviews

App not worth the money, dji vision is 10x the app that this one could ever be, you can not record or take pics within app, not pleased that I threw 18$ down the drain!!!!

I bought the full app. It has some really great features but not as reliable as the DJI app. FPV cuts out very often. I really like the the flight tracker but with there was a way to download an animated file of my flights to share i.e. Facebook so my friends can watch the tracker.

The new FPV Booster app is everything it is said to be. Like the new camera options. Well worth the $ they charge. They have put a lot of work and testing into this app not just throwing something together and sending it out full of bugs. Thanks FPV Booster for doing a great job.

Awesome app been using it for long distance flights .. The custom telemetry is an excellent addition to an already great app

I have had this app since it was just a booster and I loved it then. Now that it has these added features it is so much more, and I cant imagine flying without it. I cant remember the last time I loaded the vision app. There is no need anymore. This app does so much more, with the FPV function and the flight log. And the best part is it keeps getting better and better with each update. The developers are very responsive to questions and are doing a great job at improving this great app. For me, its a no-brainer. By this app and all of the add-ons, it is so worth it.

I have to admit I hated this app even after I made the in app purchases because I still didnt get any extra video range from the original DJI app but since the update, man....... This app works great now and I love it!!!!!!! I can now go the same distance as a waypoint flight manually and keep the video feed. Before I could only go 2 city blocks with the original DJI app and with booster app. Now it really works. It works best if you have a clear line of sight between the range extender and drone so if youre going far, it would be a good idea to gain height to keep an open line of sight without obstruction to the signal.

Finally a developer that listens! Love the new features with the current updates! Tons of options including the swipe right to capture a screen shot! No more trying to balance the remote! The flight telemetry is awesome. Keep up the great work guys!!!

This is probably the best general app for the Vision + on the market. Im not sure the Booster does much, but the other features are excellent.

I have a Phantom 2 Vision+ V3 with a Zenmuse H3-3D gimbal and a Hero4. After wiring it correctly I was disappointed that the DJI Vision app does not connect to the Phantom, does not display video or telemetry. I bought this booster app and everything works! I am very pleased. Although the interface isnt the most great looking I cant complain. Function over form works for me. Thanks devs!

This app is great, the booster works awesome and the new feature of being able to take pictures while recording will have me using this app over djis every flight.

Ive not tested range boosted vs not. I fly with another DJI pilot, and this app solved my broken / lost connections issues after enabling wifi password. Whats even better, the range extender remembers the setting.

Software is glitchy. There are some cool features here, but it doesnt work half the time. I saw no difference at all with the booster feature. Very disappointed. Wish I could get my money back.

A great app to begin with, the new v3.2.0 release expands the custom telemetry overlay to both in flight and flight logs - which is awesome. So much better than the default DJI Vision app and worth every penny to get the FPV and tracker add ons. Cant say enough great things about this app - its the only one I fly with. A must for any Phantom P2V+ pilot!

The new version is just what I wanted. It does everything it claims to do. Being able to have flight telemetry is a great asset. Ive used the data in Dashware and it worked great. I like being able to see where and when my quad is in the flight.

Im very happy with this app. The FPV camera and the Flight Log are very nice. Buy it! Very cool features.

The recent update has new features and an overall fresh look. I especially enjoy and value the ability to have the different on screen map options while viewing what my phantom sees. The zoom feature in the maps adds situational awareness to the flight. Additionally, the ability to boost and secure the wifi network is a nice piece of mind for reliability and security. The wifi wand is a first of its kind and really helps in determining the strength of my signal to the phantom. I havent seen any other app that has this feature. Besides using the DJI app for viewing pic and video, I use the booster app primarily. Another great feature is the ability to customize the data displayed on screen. There is a wealth of telemetry data to choose from. Nice touch! Lastly, I really like being able to export the flight data log for use in DashWare. Cool to overlay the info onto the flight I flew earlier. Highly recommended to those who are on the fence about spending a few extra bucks to get all the features. Havent used the FPV feature with goggles since I dont fly that way but could imagine its just as good as the rest of the app.

FPV booster has both unlocked the vast data logging capability of the NAZA controller and significantly improves wifi range. I routinely fly beyond 2 miles LOS with it. No way I could get that range without it. New version looks even more professional. Use race render or dashcam to overlay gauges on your video. Must have app for PV2+ owners.

Such an improvement over the DJI pilot app. You will not be disappointed with the purchase. 2 big items, double click screen to take picture/double click with two fingers to stop/start video. Control the up and down movement of camera gimbal by sliding finger up or down on screen. Lots of options. One thing I wish they would add, the ability to turn the camera FPV on or off.

I have been using FPV Booster since early this year and have not gone back to the factory app since. This app is was the first and still the best app for flying my Phantom 2 Vision+. In this new version 3.2.0 the features get even better. More options for telemetry, updated interface, I added the Camera and Tracker which are well worth the cost. I use the boost every flight, even if close by, to assure FPV stability. On my first flight with the boost I increased my personal record form ~900’ to `2900’ w/o any hardware changes, I use the FPV Booster for Phantom Vision+ app with my radio and bird-side upgrades and it continues to work perfectly and recently reached my 1 mile mark while running flying with this app. I run this on primarily on my iPad Mini 2,and iPhone 6 as a backup for my flight hardware, it runs on both w/o issues. The factory app is so plain, boring and has less overall features that are used way ore often. The support from the developer is fantastic. Invovled in many forums and groups to watch and support if someone needs assistance. I mean, how often do we see a developer proactively reaching out to users, asking for feedback and showing continued support for a discontinued model of flying camera. That is because they love this sport also and enjoy what they do. Nun said, pretty good investment in an awesome FPV flying app with Flight Tracking and now with export for use with other programs such as Dashware, two types of Boost, customer Telemetry (LOVE the WIF dBm Strength reading!). Don;t forget, the camera settings are configurable here too, so no need to go to the factory app ever again here folks, IMHO. Cheers.

Excellent app. Being able to take pics while video is great. New looks are nice. Flight tracker is a must to provide evidence of your flight path and is nice for review. Only use DJI app for waypoint flying. Only thing missing is mission planner.
