FPV Booster for Vision+ App Reviews

I was a faithful user of the original booster app, it for sure increased range in my area. This new version added the FPV pilot tab which is a very impressive and creative use of the new DJI SDK. I really like the new map views and the killer feature is that they used Google Maps which are easily 2 years newer than the Apple maps that the DJI app uses. In my area they are VERY crisp and VERY recent!! This was well worth the modest price. I cant wait for the next version to come out, even more useful features comming from this team! Edit, Ive been now using v3.1 and 1- the added "WiFi Wand" is VERY useful with high gain antennas on the TX, to tell you exactly where to face the model. This also helps you to spot the model at greater distances as you know just where to look. Also it changes color based on the WiFi Strength. 2- The added Battery Gague with remaining flight time based on real-time load is also a loved feature. 3- The new gesture to tilt camera is now a very excellent feature. You can now fine tune exactly how fast the camera tilts in flight. The variable gain slider coupled with the variable touch gesture give you precise control. No more distracting camera jerks while shooting video. 4- Flight Tracker, I like the icon choices, animated Phantom or Arrow, I like the arrow as its easier for me to watch the model heading when playing back. The tracker also displays the results of bad GPS data in the tracks, very interesting visually see that GPS data isnt always perfect. They added a filter switch to hide any GPS anomalies that you may see. Being able to see logs of all flights is great and Im impressed with all the telemetry data is available, even total current draw at all points in the flight! All in all FPV Booster is now my favorite app for the Vision+ and its still being developed, so there will be more to come!

Keep up the nice add ons. Would love to add the rear LED light indicators to app. Buy this!

The booster, the FPV camera, and the flight logger all work great as advertised! Please add the ability to export flight logs for rendering with Dashware or RaceRender to the next version ;)

I got the app just for the Flight Tracker. This is something the DJI vision plus is missing. Tested it this morning. It work perfectly. Cant wait for the update that allows the data to be exported. Keep the good work up.

App is okay I guess. Just wish I didnt have to go to the well every time it got better. Paid enough the first time.

I purchased my first P2V+ in December 2014. The DJI App was ok to use and because it was the only one at the time. I started following all of FPV Boosters post about his app. Looking at all of the screen shots and positive reviews from the Beta testers, I could not wait to start using it. When I finally installed and started using the FPV Booster app, the inexperience user in me felt very at ease using it. Now that Im using ver 3.1, I dont know where to begin. Let me say Flight Tracker: flight log and history; outstanding. Booster and its choices gives me a more secure feeling knowing my Phantom is navigating safely in an invisible world of wifi signals. Finally FPV Camera. Everything that you should see and need to see are all there. I love it. Real time Google Map. WIFI Wand lets me know and see what my wifi range is, which gives me time to make a decision about my flight path. I really find the auto record start on motor startup and stop on motor shutdown a great idea and the one and two fingers gesture; needed. In future upgrades I would love to export my flight data in Excel to graph my data history. Also, during Flight Tracker playback, it would be great to see what the Phantom sees as the Tracker is being played back. This app should be the standard for all Phantom Owners. The added functionality is great. I give 4 star for booster App. The FPV constantly freezes up mid flight, and becomes unresponsive, forcing me to hard close the app. All flight logging is lost as a result, relaunching the app does not solve the problem I am forced to use the DJI App to regain control of my Phantom!...This is a very serious problem. The FPV is lacking functionality and has low resolution and for $17, it needs at the very least what the DJI App offers when used on the IPhone 5S with latest IOS 8.1.3. We need timelapse functionality and more camera and video controls. The preview needs higher resolution. We need a wifi booster battery level indicator.

Paid for app to find out you cant use can or tracker without paying again and again. Guess I should have done more research pictures seemed misleading

I purchased my phantom vision plus and wanted to fly with an ipad instead of the iphone. Looking at options this app seemed great. I purchased both in-app purchases and I can tell you its the best. I no longer use the dji app. Highly recommend it. It works on both iphone and ipad with the same purchase, great!! Would love icloud integration to save flight tracker progress.

Hits you up for $10 at every step. Poor tech support. Buy an Inspiron 1 if you are even thinking about this app.

Spent like $25 for the app and all the add-ons, and nothing seems to work. If it does, its sure not intuitive, because I cant figure it out.

It is simply a total waste of your $. I spend bit under $16 for an app that does not, not, not work. Do not buy.

This app is everything the DJI app isnt. You will still need DJIs app for some setting adjustments, but this is my go to app 99% of my flights. Dont pay attention to the bad reviews. Theyre either from the competitors or people not paying attention to the apps few limitations. This app by far has the best customer service, hands down!
